Brave Comes Out Tomorrow! + Monsters University Stuff

Eek! I'm so excited! Tomorrow Brave finally goes into theaters.
I have put a lot of effort into only watching the trailers, not the clips. Though somehow I already know about some witch and a big bear......it's like video telepathy!
If you haven't already seen it, here's the trailer.
Okay, I DID watch this clip. But it was the only one! I swear!
I actually like this better than the trailer, though. :)

Feat yer eyes! XD
I truly suggest you go and see it.  If you're one of my parents I even more strongly suggest you see it! :P
I have been waiting a long time to see this film, and now is a very exciting time because Brave is coming out and they have started releasing trailers and still clips from Monsters University. It's Pixar's first prequel and it is to Monsters Inc. There'll be more on that later.
And while I'm on the topic of videos I'll show you the super -cheesy mother and fathers day videos they created. Brave related too!
Here's the mothers day one....
And the fathers day one....
It's hilarious how fathers day is apparently PG! I know they meant the movie, but it still cracked me up!
It has so far got a 78% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.6/10 on IMDB. I think it's cuz it's for a slightly narrower audience than some of the other movies. For example, I have a feeling less elderly people would go see it than they would for Up, or Wall-E. It's not because Brave is any more childish than the other films, it's just about the first impressions. First impressions say that it might just be a little kid fairytale, but it's actually has some strong points about mother-daughter relationships. As you can guess, the rebellious main character Merida and her restrictive mother don't get on too well.

About a year ago the film was predicted to be quite a dark fairy tale. Well, it isn't nearly as dark as expected. I'm not sure that Pixar is the kinda company that does dark movies. Save the dark for Tim Burton. No, what Pixar does is unleash the kid hiding in all of us. Luckily my inner kid isn't hiding anywhere. What 'chya see and read is what you get.

Well, I'll save the rest for later, after I've seen it. Maybe when it comes out on DVD.

On to Monsters University.
Yesterday was a good day for Pixar fans because the trailer for Monsters University came out. Keep in mind that Monsters Inc. came out over a decade ago.  A lot has happened since then.
Here's the trailer! It's awesome. :)
It's made a stir in the realm of people like me.
I am going to show you the other goodies they have.
Here are some still clips and some concept art.
Monsters University Mike Wazowski Sleeping
Monsters University Sulley and his Gleww
 Got any gleww? :3
Monsters University Prank

I just love that last one.
Here's the concept art. The last is my favorite.

First Day of School.....Results!

Hey guys! If you read my last post that means that you know I started school today!
I'll walk you through my day step by step.

7:am I get up for school. My shrill alarm clock wakes me up and I stumble out of bed, half asleep.

7:55: My brother and I leave for school. I am tired.

8:20: We get to school. I feel I am going to vomit the invisible contents of my stomach.

8:30 Taken my Ms K, get fingerprints taken, gets introduced, dumped into science class.

9:55: Having made a couple friends, go to art and design.
Now let me tell you, I was a bit disappointed by art. I expected to draw people or wildlife or something. The most similar thing I did was draw onigiri in birds eye view. The lesson was on packed lunches. It would've been fun but it had to be healthy, and something that everyone's heard of. Only one person knew what onigiri was, but it doesn't matter. I found that one of my friends likes sushi and comics.

11:15: Break. I go and sit with my friends, and make a couple new ones.

11:35: Tutor time. It's not like you'd think. Basically you're given a House* and a number(of class you go to). Our group did risky behavior. Apparently it's a risk for me to talk because people might make fun of my accent. :/ Luckily it didn't happen though! :)

12:05: Inquiring minds, whatever that is.  We learned about the natives in Australia and what sly tricks the Europeans did to try and kill off the tribes. I have homework for it too. I choose a topic on Australia (I'm doing food, obviously. Maybe I should to coffee ;) ) and I plan out what I do for it.

1:25: It is FINALLY over and I get to go get munch! Too bad I couldn't really eat that either. To say it lightly it wasn't my favorite. Hung out with friends.

2:pm: Munch is finished and we go to P.E.We had a true P.E. experience. It was dumping rain, and I haven't done running since October (At my fittest I couldn't run a kilometer). My body is way not used to it, and I had to run 1500 meters. That's a kilometer and a half. I can't say I was fast, my time was 14 minutes and 49 seconds. It is almost 4 hours after and my body is killing me.

3:20pm: Home time! My new friends were really nice and they walked me home! :)

Here's a note to my old friends in Scotland: I miss you all so much! Even though I have new friends I will never, ever forget you. Cross my heart. I hope the play went well (you preformed it TODAY!?) and  have an amazing time in Queen Anne. They're so lucky to have you. Will they be able to deal with all your awesomeness? I don't think so.

*Okay, so when you join school you are put into one of say, 4 Houses. Every while the Houses meet. There are often competitions against each other. In my school you get a different tie for it.

Thanks for reading! :D

School Preperation

I think some of you guys may know this but I'm starting school again tomorrow. I have missed 8 weeks of school and the last time I was in school properly was in March. That doesn't really help how nervous I am.
Luckily for me I am not the only one joining my class. Another kid's joining on the same day as me called Harry (URK). I'll probably have to sit next to him because the staff'll be like: hey look, two new little lonely weenies. Maybe if we have them sit together they'll be less of the little lonely weenies that  they are. No offense....uh....Harry. It's just weird 'cuz when I joined my last school I was seated next to a Harry.
The name reminds me of pirates.

My brother is totally chillaxed about it. Nothing in the worlds will worry him. It's 'cuz his time in secondary school was amazing. He made friends with pretty much everyone he came across. See, I'm not only changing schools, but I'm going into a different grade and my first time in high school.

Here's the confusing (and very exaggerated) story of my grade position.

2010.
My mom: We're thinking of putting you into high school.
My brother: I DON'T WANNA!!
My mom: Why?
My brother: SCARY!
My mom: What if I put you in primary school. Just remember that you'll be a grade behind (kinda).
My brother: LESS SCARED!
My mom turns to me. Asks my opinion.
Me: I'd rather start in my own grade.
My mom: You don't really have a choice. You aren't allowed to be put in the same grades 'cuz you'd fight.
Me: -sighs loudly- And since I'm the youngest, I'm being knocked back. Great.
My mom: ....

Later that year I begin primary school. A year behind. I'm still a little annoyed, but if I wasn't knocked back I wouldn't have met my totally awesome friends!
2012
Ham ham: We're moving.
My and my brother: WHAT!?!
I say I'm okay and yet I'm crying at the same time. Fail acting.
So we applied for 3 schools in march. We move in April.
And in May we wait. And wait. Then suddenly a school FINALLY says : Uh, sure bring them in for more slaves-er uh...students. So after a long time letter writing to and fro from us to the school (haven't they heard of something called a telephone? :P ) we have a meeting with the school. The next day I go in for tests. The day after that my brother goes in for the same tests. The next week is midterms. On Sunday I prepared my stuff. Did I mention that that Sunday is actually today? Wee anyway, I am being put up a grade, into year 7. Guess it balances it all out then. :)

I'm going to show you a map of the places I've lived. This is since I was four. Before that I was living in the 'States. So really this map should span all over the world ;).

The purple dot was our first house. We lived there for about a year. We visited a couple years later to find that all the windows had been boarded up.
The red dot was in a seaside town. I lived there for 3 years, my longest time living somewhere. A year after we got there due to bullying and me stinking at math we became home schooled for 4 years.
The blue dot was a random village in the middle of nowhere. The people there weren't very nice to us. The house was rat infested for a while and the landlord tried to unfairly take our money. But it was a good sized and pretty house. We thought we wouldn't get any better. Until......
We moved to the blue dot. It was an extension of a large mansion that was built in the 1600s. Our bit was made in the 1800s. There was a MASSIVE garden (well, two actually) lots of places to ride bikes, go ladybug hunting and pick raspberries. I joined school again, made lots of friends and had the best time ever. Waaaaay better than any other place I've lived.
Then on something like the 23rd of April 2012 we moved to.....
The green dot (well, duh, Nyssa.)!  Pretty good house, close to everything, lots of stuff to do, a comic book store, and I have a bedroom that's smaller than the master bedroom bathroom.

Hey, wait! What happened to my ACTUAL post topic? XD
I'll keep writing on that, then. Well this school is a lot stricter than the school I went to AND the school my brother went to.  The uniform's changing after the summer holidays, but for now you MUST wear a blazer you MUST wear the school P.E. kid (including socks!). You MUST wear black or white socks. You MUST wear you tie, lace your shoes, wear no nail polish, no jewellery, no pin badges(GRR!), blah, blah, blah.

I went in a couple weeks ago to take some tests on my English.  Luckily I didn't have to take any on my math. So I'm being put in the middle group, just like I was before. Phew.

Well, I'm off to do the best part of school prep: packing my pencil case! :D
